Butchery management system — inventory, accounting and point of sale
A management system for a butchery, covering inventory, slaughter and processing, accounting, point of sale and an audit log.
Sector
Meat retail
Our role
System and admin dashboard design and development
The challenge
The butchery needed accurate control over live and slaughtered livestock, inventory and outputs, daily sales, and the link between operations, accounting and the cash box — without scattering the work across files and separate tools.
What we built
We built an admin dashboard that brings inventory, slaughter distribution, the abattoir, the butchery counter, processing, accounting, point of sale, users and an audit log into one organised interface.
The result
A clear operational system that lets management track balances, sales, livestock and inventory movement from one dashboard, with stronger daily control and room to grow.

01Sales and invoicing
Selling a carcass at its recorded weightWhen a whole carcass is sold, the cashier picks from carcasses actually in stock at the weight recorded in the abattoir, so the weight cannot be changed and the same carcass cannot be sold twice.Tax invoice with a QR codeThe invoice is issued as soon as the sale completes, with a QR code that meets e-invoicing requirements, and prints straight away.
02Owner control
Reconciliation centreOne screen where the owner sees discrepancies, alerts and what is waiting for a decision today, alongside meat and live-head movement since the start of the day.Approval requestsSensitive actions — a price change, a higher credit limit, a processing variance, a livestock purchase — take effect only once the owner approves, with the reason and who asked.Blind stock countThe system balance stays hidden until staff confirm the actual count, so the real variance shows instead of a count adjusted to match.Audit logEvery sensitive operation is recorded: who carried it out, when, and in which section.
03Stock and processing
Live livestock stockLive animals by breed and size, with slaughter recorded straight from stock.Processing by approved recipesStaff record only the output; the system deducts ingredients by the approved recipe. A large variance needs a reason and the owner’s approval before stock moves.
04Accounting and reports
Financial reportsIncome statement, balance sheet, trial balance and VAT return, plus shift, waste and per-carcass profitability reports.
